About
Us LCTS stands for Lacy Clagg's Tube Store. I, Lacy Clagg, had been
designing graphics since Winter 03'. I found msn groups while looking for a support group after losing a
pregnancy. What I found were wonderful women that I am still online friends with
today. They showed me the wonderful world of tagging and using beautiful artwork
in such a way that could only make me smile. A few of them said 'Lacy you've
shown us your paintings can you make art for us to use?' So I set to work! I
couldn't at the time afford a scanner to scan my large canvas pieces in so I
taught myself how to paint using PSP. Eventually I found some free 3D modeling
software and from there I took off! I found I could use these models and paint
on them how I liked. Many people at that time and still don't like to use
3D/Poser art because of the "Creepy Doll" look. Well with my art I found
painting them brought them to life. People adored them! It made me so happy to
give back to all the people that had helped me. I continued to make things and
paint them. A lot of people were donating to what at the time I called my
"diaper fund" lol So I decided well maybe I can sell some of my images. I begin
licensing them and selling on my own. I, of course, still put out LOTS of free
images. Main reason being all the money I make with my online endeavors STILL go
100% to my "diaper fund" though the kids are now potty trained. I know what is
it like to live pay check to pay check and, to me, not offering some sort of
free images would be just plain wrong. I put up this web store to help organize
my sales in 06' since then it has grown leaps and bounds. We even have some
great friends of mine that enjoying making graphics put their stuff up here to
sell as well. I hope you enjoy my site and please feel free to contact me
anytime about anything :)
Are you a licensing company?
no LOL I am not a major company or anything like that. I am a simple stay at
home mother of 2 rowdy boys. Yes there are a few of my friends that sell here on
LCTS BUT they control their own uploads, sales, announcements. Also I take no %
of their sales. I am very happy that we stay small because I don't want to be
the walmart of images I want to be the mom n pop shop where I know everyone by
name :)
Why do I support Taggers? I find a lot of artists ask me this question.
To me it is a simple answer. Why Not? I owe a lot to the tagging
community now not only for helping me get this far but the continuous
support and promotion. And please feel free to share this information in
your groups/forums. I am always available for chats, contest judging, or
just joining your groups. Much Love! |
